What is a bootloader?

You can also run the loader.exe file in the K-Meleon folder if the shortcut was not created during installation. The bootloader has various configurations that will allow you to control the startup speed of K-Meleon.

The use of the loader has lost its relevance in the latest versions and the loader.exe file has been removed from the distribution.

Browser forks based on popular engines appear with enviable regularity, but very few of them receive recognition. Most of these projects are simply abandoned by developers due to lack of interest. It is quite possible that this fate will befall K-Meleon, a lightweight browser from Mozilla developers aimed at experienced users and featuring a wide range of additional functions.

The K-Meleon browser is based on the Gecko engine and has a nice, unobtrusive interface in Russian, vaguely reminiscent of the old Opera shell. There are also significant differences that make K-Meleon different not only from Opera, but also from all known modern browsers. The old-style main menu is located on the right side of the window; at the bottom there is a fairly wide panel with a logo, providing quick access to settings, the log and past sessions. Portable version

Extensions
